You enter the offices of the German hearing-aid company Interton.

Yes, Interton has developed an unsusual sideline, developing video-game consoles alongside its usual hearing aids. Its latest model is the Interton VC 4000, a rival to the Atari VCS. But this console is powered by the seldom-used Signetics 2650 chipset, and features analogue controllers.

Interton has been doing this for a while though. It’s first console – the Interton Video 2000 – was released in 1975 and shared similarities with the Magnavox Odyssey. Actually, that might be important, you should pop that in your knapsack.
